Dave Williams is a choreographer and dancer based in Trinidad, Trinidad & Tobago. With four decades of experience, he has been described as one of his generation's most innovative Caribbean choreographers. Dave's work is grounded in Graham's technique, yet he explores, experiments and freely combines influences that feed the Caribbean body politics. As a co-founder and director of the Contemporary Choreographers' Collective (COCO) and the COCO Dance Festival, he has played a significant role in providing a platform for contemporary dance in the region since 2009.  Dave also established the Council for Arts, Aesthetics & Identity in 2018, a non-profit focused on exploring the idea that we are both creators and creations of our environment. He also served as the interim Artistic Coordinator of CARIFESTA XIV 2019. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire.
